Romance Jam Slammed

Just when you thought it was safe to head off for the writing conference .  .  .

I have been dealing with a lot of illness in my family lately.  First my dad, then my mom and back again.  I was all set to head to the Romance Slam Jam, an annual conference for writers and readers of African American Romance.  I was particularly looking forward to giving a talk/leading a meditation on meeting your muse.  Unfortunately, the conference started today and I'm still in NY.  (For those in the Baltimore area, you can still check out the Mega Book Signing on Saturday!)  But I will be making that workshop available on this site shortly after the conference is over, so stay tuned for the announcement.

However, now I've got workshop fever.  So I am offering one of my favorite courses through the Fiction Folks Writing Academy (not an accredited school, folks, but a yahoo list series of lectures and exercises).  I call it Righting Your Writing, because the course is designed to help you assess if you have done ALL you can to make your novel publishable.  This class is essential for writers at all stages of writing their novel. If you are just starting out, information provided can serve as a barometer for your work as you proceed.  Those near or at completion of their novel can reassess their novel and revise as necessary.  For more information and to register for class, please go here.

In addition, I've revised my reiki class schedule.  These are in-person workshops, here in NYC.  Workshops are from 10 am to 5 pm, unless otherwise stated.  Here's the schedule:
