Dr. Mikao Usui, the re-discoverer of Reiki energy developed a set of principles which he called "the secret art of inviting happiness." These principles are:
Just for today:
I will not anger,
I will not worry,
I will devote myself to my work,
I will count my blessings,
I will be kind to every living thing.
I will not worry,
I will devote myself to my work,
I will count my blessings,
I will be kind to every living thing.
Every morning and every evening, say these words with your mouth
and pray these words with your heart.
Not bad, huh? Even if you are not a reiki person, you can feel free to borrow. I find myself reciting these precepts often during the day, most often in NYC traffic.
And if you're non-reiki, you might consider another piece of advice that I got hold of today. If anyone knows the author, please let me know as I would love to give attribution.
